Since its founding in 1870 Rau Construction has remained a family owned company and is currently owned and managed by Gus and Dan Meyer, the 5th generation of Rau’s with the firm. Recently Completed: SFP Renovation in Leawood, Kansas completed in January 2013
This 9000-SF interior renovation and tenant finish added new executive offices, conference rooms, reception areas and an expanded research facility to SFP’s corporate office in Leawood, Kansas. Rau Construction worked closely with 360 Architects and provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design-build services in order to deliver this unique and eye-catching project.

Rau Construction Company is proud to announce that 2 of our recent construction projects, the Chatham Senior Apartments project and the Pohler Lofts, have both been selected as winners of the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association’s 2012 J. Rau Construction recently completed a green renovation of 106 apartment homes at the Oakland Heights redevelopment. Each of the 106 apartment homes featured green improvements including Energy Star certified HVAC systems & appliances, water efficient fixtures, energy efficient lighting, spray-foam insulated walls and low VOC finishes. All 106 homes achieved Energy Star New Homes certification from a 3rd party energy auditor and together qualified for $80,000 worth of energy rebates from KCPL.
